Select nothing in the project. Start playback with the spacebar or the play button. Press the pause button or the spacebar again to pause. Press the play button or the spacebar again to resume: an audio selection was created at the pause position. This only happens the first time we resume (i.e. if you pause and resume again, there is no problem.)

A probably related issue is that when we first resume, the audio cursor first jumps back to the beginning of the phrase, then resumes to the current position.

When resuming after pausing when playing the master playlist, the function UpdateSelectionForPlayModeTransition?() is called, which creates a selection. I don't understand the purpose of this function; and in this situation it is clearly wrong (the comments mention switching from master to local playlist, which does not apply.)

  • Status changed from new to closed
  • Resolution set to invalid

So this is actually the normal behavior!
